Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak ridge will remain in place from the
southeastern U.S. across the eastern Gulf waters through Sat
allowing for gentle to moderate winds and slight to moderate
seas. Fresh winds are expected near and to the NW of the Yucatan
Peninsula at night during the next couple of days due to local
effects. A tropical wave moving across the eastern Caribbean
this morning may impact portions of the southeast Gulf with
active weather late Sat through Sun. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas
2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building
to 3 ft after midnight. 
.THU...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong winds, rough seas and numerous
squalls extend from the Leeward Islands north and northeastward
across the Tropical Atlantic, on the north side of a tropical
wave moving  into the area today. The tropical wave and
attendant winds, seas and weather will shift to the north of
Puerto Rico and Hispaniola through Thu. A trough will continue
to move northwest across the  Bahamas Fri and Fri night, then
move north-northeast of the  Bahamas Sat and Sun. There is some
potential for a tropical  depression to form late this week in
the vicinity of the Bahamas,  or near Florida over the weekend.
