Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Gale force winds over a portion of the SW Gulf that
includes within 60 nm offshore Veracruz will diminish to just
below gale force early tonight. These winds are expected to
diminish to fresh to strong Thu, with little through Sat. Seas
to around 12 ft with these winds will slowly subside through the
end of the week. Otherwise, a broad trough of low pressure is
producing disorganized areas of showers and thunderstorms over
the northwestern Caribbean Sea and the southwestern Gulf of
Mexico. Environmental conditions could support some gradual
development of this system, and a tropical depression could form
over the weekend as the broader disturbance moves fully into the
Gulf of Mexico. Interests along the U.S. Gulf Coast should
continue to monitor the progress of this system. Elsewhere,
gentle to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will
prevail trough Fri. Looking ahead, increasing winds and building
seas are forecast for the NE and north-central Gulf during the
upcoming weekend, and for just about the entire entire basin
early next week.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure will remain just N of the area
through the next few days. Low pressure moving eastward N of the
area will bring fresh to strong NW to N winds and rough seas, 
mainly across the waters N of 27N and E of 70W beginning tonight. 
Strengthening Hurricane Kirk well ESE of the offshore zones will 
move NW during the next few days, passing to the E of the NE 
forecast waters Fri night through Sat night. Rough to very rough 
seas are expected during the upcoming weekend over most of the 
waters ENE of the Bahamas. This conditions are forecast to subside
early next week.
