.SYNOPSIS...A weak ridge will remain in place over the N Gulf
waters into Sat morning allowing for gentle to moderate winds
for most of the Gulf of Mexico. Fresh NE winds are expected near
and to the northwest of the Yucatan Peninsula tonight and Fri
night due to local effects. Looking ahead, a vigorous tropical
wave, Invest-AL97, moving across the central Caribbean will
impact portions of the SE Gulf and Straits of Florida with
active weather Sat through Sun. A tropical depression is likely
to form this weekend over the Straits of Florida or eastern Gulf
of Mexico near the Florida Peninsula.

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt.  Seas 2 to 3 ft.
.FRI...SW to W winds less than 5 kt, shifting to NE 5 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SW to W after
midnight. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
.SAT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
