.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh NE to NW winds occurring in the
far south portion of the basin, along with rough seas. These
conditions will dissipate today. A surface trough has developed
over the western Gulf along 96W. The pressure gradient will
strengthens in the area producing gale-force winds and rough to
very rough seas W of the trough on Fri. Winds and seas will
diminish by Sat. Looking ahead, moderate to fresh NE to SE winds
are expected across the basin this weekend as high pressure
builds in the south-central United States. Strong SE winds and
rough seas will be possible offshore of Texas late Sat into Sun.
