For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Western East Pacific (EP92):
A broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles
west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula
continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. While
a short-lived tropical depression could still form during the next
day or so, the window for further development is closing with
stronger upper-level winds and cooler waters anticipated by late
Thursday. The system is forecast to move west-northwestward at
about 10 mph across the western part of the basin.

* Formation chance through 7 days...low...30 percent.
2. South of Southern Mexico:
An area of low pressure is likely to form this weekend a few hundred
miles south of the coast of southern Mexico. Some slow development
of this system is possible early next week while it moves westward
to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
