ZCZC MIATCDEP1 ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM TROPICAL DEPRESSION SIX-E DISCUSSION NUMBER 12 NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 2 PM PDT TUE AUG 03 2004 VISIBLE SATELLITE IMAGERY AND A QUIKSCAT OVERPASS AT 1440 UTC INDICATE THAT THE DEPRESSION NO LONGER HAS A WELL-DEFINED CLOSED SURFACE CIRCULATION...AND HAS DEGENERATED INTO AN ELONGATED TROUGH WITH EMBEDDED SWIRLS AND ONLY A NARROW BAND OF WEAK CONVECTION. THEREFORE...ADVISORIES ARE BEING DISCONTINUED AT THIS TIME. THE FINAL ADVISORY POSITION IS ALONG THE TROUGH AXIS JUST WEST OF THE CENTER OF THE CONVECTIVE BAND.
