THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL STORM MARIA NEAR THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS...ON TROPICAL STORM NATE IN THE BAY OF CAMPECHE...AND HAS ISSUED THE THE LAST ADVISORY ON POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE KATIA...LOCATED OVER THE FAR NORTH ATLANTIC. 1. A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 1200 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER ANTILLES IS PRODUCING A LARGE AREA OF DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. CONDITIONS APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WAVE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT ABOUT 15 MPH.
