THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL STORM ISAAC...LOCATED ABOUT 145 MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. 1. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 1120 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS HAVE CHANGED LITTLE IN ORGANIZATION. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE ONLY MARGINALLY CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS THE LOW MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD TO NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH. 2. A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED NEAR THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
