FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON RECENTLY
DOWNGRADED TROPICAL DEPRESSION GREG...LOCATED ABOUT 740 MILES
WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.

1. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BECOME SOMEWHAT BETTER ORGANIZED NEAR
AN ELONGATED AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 425 MILES SOUTH OF
MANZANILLO MEXICO.  HOWEVER...STRONG UPPER-LEVEL WINDS OVER THIS
SYSTEM ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE FURTHER OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF
DAYS AND WILL LIKELY NOT BE CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT.  THIS SYSTEM
HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE AS
IT DRIFTS GENERALLY NORTHWESTWARD DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
