NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1100 PM PDT FRI SEP 16 2011

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

1. A SMALL BUT WELL-DEFINED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS CENTERED ABOUT
150 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MANZANILLO MEXICO. SHOWER ACTIVITY HAS
CHANGED LITTLE THIS EVENING...AND ANY DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM
IS EXPECTED TO BE SLOW TO OCCUR AS THE LOW INTERACTS WITH ANOTHER
LARGER DISTURBANCE TO ITS SOUTHWEST. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW
CHANCE...20 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD TO WESTWARD AT ABOUT
10 TO 15 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
