THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE JOVA...LOCATED ABOUT 350 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF MANZANILLO MEXICO...AND ON TROPICAL STORM IRWIN...LOCATED ABOUT 835 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA. 1. A BROAD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 325 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE MEXICO-GUATEMALA BORDER CONTINUES TO SHOW SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION... AND UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME SOMEWHAT CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A HIGH CHANCE...70 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES EASTWARD OR NORTHEASTWARD AT 5 TO 10 MPH.
