FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM GILMA...LOCATED ABOUT 695 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE
SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.

1. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE SOUTHERN COAST OF MEXICO ARE
ASSOCIATED WITH THE LARGE CIRCULATION OF ATLANTIC TROPICAL STORM
ERNESTO THAT HAS MOVED INLAND OVER MEXICO.  THE MID-LEVEL REMNANT
CIRCULATION IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN
DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST
TO BECOME MORE CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT.  THERE IS A MEDIUM
CHANCE...40 PERCENT...OF TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION OFF THE PACIFIC
COAST OF MEXICO DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
