ZCZC MIATWOEP ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 AM PDT MON SEP 2 2013 FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE.. THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL DEPRESSION KIKO...LOCATED SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES WEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF THE BAJA CALIFORNIA PENINSULA. 1. WIDESPREAD CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTHWESTERN COAST OF MEXICO SOUTHWARD FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES IS ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE. SATELLITE PICTURES INDICATE THAT A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE HAS FORMED ALONG THE WAVE A COUPLE OF HUNDRED MILES SOUTH OF ACAPULCO MEXICO AND IS GRADUALLY BECOMING BETTER DEFINED. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE CONDUCIVE FOR CONTINUED GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOW...AND A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD FORM IN 2 TO 3 DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...20 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS...BUT A HIGH CHANCE...80 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 5 DAYS WHILE IT MOVES WEST- NORTHWESTWARD TO NORTHWESTWARD AT AROUND 10 MPH.
