For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Central and Western East Pacific:
A pair of tropical waves located south and southwest of the coast of
Mexico are producing a large area of disorganized shower and
thunderstorm activity. These waves are likely to merge in a few
days, but subsequent development, if any, should be slow to occur
while the system moves west-northwestward across the central and
western portion of the basin next week.

* Formation chance through 7 days...low...10 percent.
