TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 200 PM EDT SUN AUG 10 2014 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: 1. A tropical wave accompanied by a broad low pressure system is located a few hundred miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands. This disturbance continues to produce a large area of cloudiness and showers, and some slow development of this system is possible over the next several days while it moves westward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.
