TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 800 PM EDT MON OCT 13 2014 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center has issued the last advisory on the remnants of Fay and is issuing advisories on Hurricane Gonzalo, located over the northern Leeward Islands. 1. A broad area of low pressure located about 1200 miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Strong upper-level winds affecting this system are forecast to strengthen further during the next few days, and development of this low into a tropical cyclone is unlikely. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.
