ZCZC MIATWOAT ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 800 AM EDT Tue Aug 8 2017 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Franklin, located inland over the Yucatan peninsula. 1. A trough of low pressure located about 800 miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to produce an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Development of this system is not expected during the next few days due to unfavorable environmental conditions. However, some development of this system is possible this weekend while the system moves generally west-northwestward at about 15 mph over the western Atlantic. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
