TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 500 AM PDT TUE SEP 16 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Odile, located near the east-central coast of the Baja California peninsula, and on newly formed Tropical Storm Polo, located more than 300 miles south-southeast of Acapulco, Mexico. 1. Cloudiness and thunderstorms associated with a small area of low pressure located about 1300 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii have changed little in organization during the past several hours. Some slow development of this system is possible over the next several days while it moves west-northwestward or northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...30 percent.
