TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 PM PDT SUN SEP 21 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Polo, located about 200 miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. 1. A broad low pressure area located several hundred miles south- southeast of Acapulco, Mexico continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Gradual development of this system is expected, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next few days while it moves west-northwestward around 10 mph to the south of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.
