TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 AM PDT SAT OCT 11 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: 1. Disorganized cloudiness and a few showers, associated with an elongated trough of low pressure, extend from near the coast of Nicaragua to a few hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. This system is expected to remain relatively close to Central America and southeastern Mexico during the next several days, and its proximity to land should make significant development less likely. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent. 2. Shower and thunderstorm activity has become slightly better organized in association with a trough of low pressure located about 1500 miles east-southeast of the Hawaiian Islands.
