TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 PM PDT SAT OCT 11 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: 1. Disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms are associated with a broad area of low pressure located about 1350 miles east-southeast of the Hawaiian Islands. Environmental conditions are expected to become conducive for development of this system during the next several days as it moves westward or west-northwestward at around 10 to 15 mph and enter's the central Pacific basin. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...60 percent.
