TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 PM PDT WED OCT 15 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: 1. A large but disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms associated with an elongated area of low pressure is located a few hundred miles southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Environmental conditions are conducive for the gradual development of this system into a tropical depression over the next couple of days as it moves northwestward or northward toward the coast of Mexico. Regardless of whether or not a tropical cyclone forms, heavy rains will spread across southwestern Mexico over the next few days.
