TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 500 PM PDT THU OCT 16 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: 1. A trough of low pressure extending from the Gulf of Tehuantepec southwestward for several hundred miles is producing a large area of cloudiness and thunderstorms. Although this system is currently disorganized, there is potential for slow development over the next few days as it moves slowly northward or northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...60 percent.
