Showers and thunderstorms continue to become better organized near an area of low pressure located several hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form later tonight or on Tuesday while the low moves slowly westward to west-northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...60 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.
