A broad area of low pressure located about 1600 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms mainly to the northeast of the center. Environmental conditions are expected to become less conducive for development in a day or so, and the potential for this system to become a tropical depression appears to be decreasing. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent 2. An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles south of the coast of Mexico in a couple of days.
