An area of low pressure more than a thousand miles south-southwest of the Baja California peninsula is associated with a tropical wave. Gradual development of this system is expected, and a tropical depression could form by middle of next week as the low moves westward to west-northwestward at around 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent 2. Another area of low pressure could form early next week well to the south-southwest of the Baja California peninsula.
