ZCZC MIATWOEP ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 PM PDT WED AUG 12 2015 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: 1. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms extending several hundred miles south and southwest of Acapulco, Mexico, are associated with a tropical wave. An area of low pressure is forecast to form in association with this wave over the next couple of days, and environmental conditions are conducive for the low to become a tropical cyclone over the weekend or early next week while it moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph well offshore the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent 2. A weak low pressure area located about 1200 miles east of the Big Island of Hawaii is producing limited shower and thunderstorm activity.
