For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Showers and thunderstorms are showing signs of organization in
association with a low pressure area located about 1500 miles
west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California
peninsula. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive
for gradual development, and a tropical depression is likely to form
within a few days while the low moves west-northwestward at 10 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent

2. Disorganized shower activity located several hundred miles south of
the coast of southwestern Mexico are associated with a tropical
wave. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for
gradual development, and a tropical depression is likely to form
late this week while this system moves west-northwestward at 10 to
15 mph.
