For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad area of low pressure is located about 1000 miles
south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California
peninsula.  Although shower and thunderstorm activity has become
a little less organized since this afternoon, environmental
conditions are expected to be conducive for development, and a
tropical depression is likely to form during the next couple
of days as the disturbance moves west-northwestward at 10 to
15 mph.
