For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with an elongated area of low
pressure located about 1400 miles southwest of the southern
tip of the Baja California peninsula have become better organized
during the past several hours.  Environmental conditions are
forecast to be conducive for further development and a tropical
depression could form the next couple of days while the system moves
little.
