For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A tropical wave is producing an area of disorganized showers and 
thunderstorms several hundred miles south-southwest of the coast of 
southwestern Mexico.  An area of low pressure is forecast to form 
from this system in a few days, and some development is possible 
over the weekend or early next week while it moves toward the 
west-northwest or northwest.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
