Offshore of Southwestern Mexico: Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located a few hundred miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, have changed little in organization during the past several hours. This system is still likely to become a short-lived tropical cyclone during the next day or so before upper-level winds become unfavorable for development on Sunday.
