For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:

Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Lala, located several hundred miles north of Kure Atoll, and
on Tropical Storm Iselle, located well to the west of the southern
tip of the Baja California Peninsula.

1. Western East Pacific (EP94):
An area of low pressure located well to the east-southeast of the
Hawaiian Islands has become slightly better organized over the last
several hours. Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual
development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to
form late this week or early this weekend while the system drifts to
the northeast, before turning westward by early next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.

2. Central Pacific:
An area of low pressure could form well south of the Hawaiian
Islands over the weekend or early next week. Some gradual
development is possible thereafter while the system moves
slowly west-northwestward, well south-southwest of the Hawaiian
Islands.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.

For the eastern and central North Pacific east of 180 longitude:

Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical 
Storm Lala, located several hundred miles north of Kure Atoll, and 
on Tropical Storm Iselle, located well to the west of the southern 
tip of the Baja California Peninsula.

1. Central East Pacific (EP93):
A broad area of low pressure located well south of southwestern 
Mexico continues to produce a large area of showers and 
thunderstorms. Although the system has not become better organized 
over the last several hours, environmental conditions are still 
expected to support gradual development of this system, and a 
tropical depression is likely to form tonight or on Thursday. The 
system is forecast to move west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph, well 
offshore of Mexico.

* Formation chance through 7 days...high...90 percent.

2. Western East Pacific (EP94):
An area of low pressure located well to the east-southeast of the 
Hawaiian Islands has become slightly better organized over the last 
several hours. Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual 
development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to 
form late this week or early this weekend while the system drifts to 
the northeast, before turning westward by early next week.

* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.

3. Well Offshore of Southwestern Mexico:
An area of low pressure is forecast to form this weekend well to the 
south of southwestern Mexico. Environmental conditions appear 
favorable for some gradual development of this system, and a 
tropical depression is likely to form early next week while it moves 
westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph.

* Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent.

4. Central Pacific:
An area of low pressure could form well south of the Hawaiian 
Islands over the weekend or early next week. Some gradual 
development is possible thereafter while the system moves 
slowly west-northwestward, well south-southwest of the Hawaiian 
Islands.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America:

1. Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL96):
An area of low pressure, associated with a tropical wave, is located 
several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.  
Showers and thunderstorms associated with this system have slightly 
improved in organization over the last several hours. However, 
recently received satellite wind data suggests that the circulation 
is not yet well-defined. Environmental conditions are somewhat 
favorable for development over the next couple of days, and a 
tropical depression could form within the next day or two as the 
system moves westward to west-northwestward near 20 mph across the 
eastern and central tropical Atlantic.  However, environmental 
conditions are expected to become less conducive by this weekend, 
potentially ending its chances for development.
